 Fleur Page, with her Lonton and Gray sails, is the new East Coast Optimist Champion!
The HCC East Coast Area Championship, hosted jointly by the Corinthian Otters and the Burnham Sailing Club, took place over the 14th & 15th July in rough and unpleasant conditions. There were 44 starters in the Main Fleet, representing 17 different clubs in the area. Fleur performed consistently well; with three 1st places in the seven race regatta, she was able to discard a 10th position. This made her a clear winner, nine points ahead of the second placed competitor. Well done, Fleur! |
