Racing Sails

As both Ian & Dick have raced most of our adult lives, we are in a very strong position to be able to meet your racing needs. Whether you need club, circuit, one design or offshore racing sails, we are here to help you.
We will advise you on the best available materials to meet your particular type of racing together with advice on the best shapes to use to suit your rig type and setup.
We use the highest quality materials possible to ensure a long lasting sail that can cope with the harshest of conditions
Spinnakers

Our spinnakers are constructed in either a
tri-radial or radial head construction. Our full radial sail design allows the fabrics thread lines to be aligned with the load exterted on the sail. This reduces stretch and improves the performance and durability.

Blue Water Sails

Blue water sails are designed and manufactured to the highest standard to ensure that they survive even the most extreme conditions. They have two rows of three step seam stitching with an additional row of zig-zag stitching between these two rows.
The eyelets fitted are stainless steel with the extreme load eyelets being supported by webbing stitched to the sail passing through the eyelet. Extra corner reinforcing with strainers is standard.
Crusing Chutes

Our crusing chutes are constructed in either a full radial or radial head construction.

Storm Jib

Every boat that ventures out into open water should carry a suit of storm sails as part of its essential equipment.

The primary objectives of these sails are to provide a sufficient sail area to maintain handling capabilities without being overpowered. To cope with these harsh conditions the sails are made to the a very high specification using a high quality cloth. This enables you to concentrate on helming the boat, without worrying that your sails are going to tear.
There’s nothing worse than being stuck out at sea with a canvas area that’s too large to handle. Struggling to change a Genoa in a force 8 gale at the bow of a yacht is the last thing that any crew member wants to do. Fortunately we have developed a sail design to make this situation just that bit easier.
